The Appeal to support this new addition (youth room, choir room and large group meeting rooms) and remodeling project (update handicap entrances, bathrooms, offices, and conference rooms) also included raising $250,000 to support specific local and global mission projects. "In 2005, we have just completed our 6th capital appeal for mission and building expansion (choir room, youth room, adult education room and theater).  For our members, long time and new, capital appeals are a time for our faith community to focus on a specific mission and ministry.  Jim Harrison is regarded as a welcome friend who stays in close contact with us throughout the 3-year appeal.  Members quickly say “yes” when asked to serve.

In 2008, St. Philip the Deacon will celebrate our 50th anniversary of service and the James Company will be there to lead us through our 7th capital appeal.
